A three-day boutique running holiday along South Africa’s Wild Coast, a slice of unfenced coastal paradise that traverses the rural homeland of the isiXhosa people.  This is a trail running kaleidoscope that is at it’s heart wild in every sense of the word, from footprint-free golden beaches along a warm ocean, to rolling grass headlands and delicate coastal forests teeming with life.  Envelope your senses in one of the World’s most spectacular coastlines whist enjoying the evening comfort of elegant hotels & lodges along your Wild Coast journey.

Terrain Mixed beach, grassy headlands, rock and coastal forest. Non-technical running.
River crossings The nature of the Wild Coast means there are several river crossings at the Wildcoast Wildrun®. You have to be able to swim to complete this run.

Entry fee ZAR 12,400 
This amount is payable once-off or on a pre-determined payment plan. 
If you choose the payment plans the first installment can be paid via credit card or electronic fund transfer but the second and third installments can only be paid via electronic fund transfer.

* Your entry fee includes a 15% non-refundable deposit of the full entry fee.

- ZAR amount is fixed. USD and EUR amounts are only indicative figures as they are subject to the exchange rate on day of payment. 

Goody bag You will receive a kit bag when you register. This is the only bag that will be transported during the event, so pack wisely. 
Accommodation All runners and crew are accommodated in shared rooms, with no exceptions. Accommodation is extremely limited.
Supporters
Supporters are welcome if accommodation is available, and will be accommodated on a shared room basis.
First come, first served - accommodation is extremely limited.
All supporters to have their own, appropriate transport.
Transfers Getting to start of the event and returning home is not included in the entry fee. We offer transfers as an optional extra to make travel simpler. Click here for details.
Medical clearance You will need to provide us with a medical clearance, signed by a medical doctor (and not on your own behalf). We will provide you with the documentation to be completed by your doctor once you have entered. This is compulsory. No medical, no run.
Challenges River crossings, tides, remoteness. 
Necessary kit You will need the normal multi day running kit including a dry bag / zip lock bags. You will be crossing rivers and will need to keep your kit dry.

Prize Money
PRIZE MONEY FOR BREAKING THE OVERALL RECORD
For the first time ever in 2017, R25,000/ea will be awarded to the first male and the first female to break the respective overall male and female records for the Wildcoast Wildrun. The current records are:
Cas van Aardenne 10:06:50
Chantel Nienaber 11:31:30
Rules:
1) Applies to fully paid entries.
2) If there is a draw, the prize money will be shared between the record breakers
3) If more than one person breaks the current record, the fastest time will be awarded the prize money in full, and set the new record.
4) There is no prize money for the daily records, this applies only to the overall record for the men and overall record for the ladies, as stated above.
