Since 2016, I have worked with Owen Middleton and the Wildrunner team and participated in their inaugural events in Mapungubwe in South Africa and in Rwanda.  On these runs, I have witnessed first-hand the professionalism, organisational skills, and leadership that Wildrunner brings to every event. They are skilled both at logistical coordination as well as providing first-class accommodation and meals in remote settings. Most importantly, they put the local community and their needs at the centre of all they do, building lasting relationships that benefit and empower community members. I am thrilled to work with them to recruit the first cohort of international runners and I am confident that the Cape Leopard Wildrun will raise millions of dollars of much-needed support to protect the Cape Leopard and its unique habitat in the Cederberg, alongside the local community.
